Unity Day - 20,000 cranes join in the celebrations!

Tomorrow Germany celebrates the Day of Unity and we are celebrating with them. Why? The German Crane Protection Working Group was founded after the reunification by East and West Germans crane conservationists together with Lufthansa Environmental Support. Today, it has become a nationwide network of voluntary conservationists who are committed to protect the habitats of cranes in Germany. The Lufthansa Group has also remained loyal to its heraldic bird and continues to support us! Thank you very much!

From today, the NABU Crane Center will also be represented with an information stand at the nationwide citizens' festival on the Day of German Unity in Schwerin. The center in Groß Mohrdorf is of course open despite the public holiday and the KRANORAMA is also waiting for your visit. 20,000 cranes have already arrived in the resting region on the Vorpommern coast.
