Start of construction of the insect and moor worlds

Construction work began yesterday on the insect and moorland worlds in the outdoor area of the new crane centre. Firstly, the construction of an artificial fen will begin, then the site will be shaped and a path and information system created, and finally the entire site will be planted with insect-friendly plants and typical fen plants.

Mud and puddles will be turned into an educational outdoor area by the time the KRANICHWELTEN opens in autumn. This project is funded by the Federal Ministry for the Environment as part of the Federal Programme on Biological Diversity. Thank you very much!
