How to take pictures of cranes?

Many people who did already encounter cranes would like to capture this special moment. But it is not that easy to take a crane photo as these birds are surprisingly shy and have an escape distance of 200 to 300 m. Therefore you need a telephoto lens of at least 400 mm and of course a lot of patience. It is best to go to known observation towers because cranes are less shy there. Or you take the photograph sitting in your car, as here the escape distance is also much lower. If this seems to complicated, just have a look at our crane shop.
