First monitoring of the Grey Crowned Crane in Tanzania's history

Knowledge about the population of the endangered Grey Crowned Crane in East Africa is still very incomplete. After various projects in Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya in recent years, an international team travelled to Tanzania for the first time this year. The mapping in August 2022 was mainly about a first inventory in the northwest of Tanzania and the training of the crane conservationists on site.
