Crane Conservation Germany and Daimler become partners.

Groß Mohrdorf – Ten thousands of cranes have started their flight to their breeding grounds in Germany and Scandinavia in recent weeks. If you want to explore and protect these impressive animals, you have to be mobile yourself, because migratory birds travel hundreds of kilometres every year on their flights from Africa and Southern Europe. In the future, Crane Conservation Germany will rely on a Mercedes-Benz Vito Tourer for its work. The vehicle will be provided by Daimler AG as part of a partnership. It was handed over on 11th of March in 2019 to Dr. Günter Nowald, General Manager of the non-profit Crane Conservation Germany Ltd. and Head of the NABU Crane Center.
“It’s our goal to preserve the breeding habitat as well as the gathering and resting sites of cranes in Germany, to contribute to international conservation of cranes and of raise awareness about these great birds. I am very pleased about the partnership with Daimler AG and the great support for our work.”, said Dr. Nowald when receiving the vehicle in Ribnitz-Damgarten in Mecklenburg – Western Pomerania.
