Have you always wanted to observe a pair of cranes at their breeding site and watch crane chicks grow up? This is possible with a breeding site sponsorship!
Successful reproduction is crucial for the development of the crane population. In order for a pair of cranes to successfully raise their young, they need above all a safe and undisturbed breeding site. Crane Protection Germany checks the breeding sites every year to report the occupied territories to the relevant authorities. This helps to avoid disturbances, e.g. from forestry activities.
During these breeding site inspections, we unfortunately repeatedly find that eggs are disappearing from the clutch without knowing the cause. By sponsoring a breeding site, you can help to investigate the causes in detail without causing any disturbance during the sensitive phase of breeding and rearing young birds.
With your donation, we will purchase a modern wildlife camera and install it at a selected crane breeding site. For your donation of €450, you will receive a selection of photos every week between April and June for three years. This will allow you to watch your protégés grow and keep your fingers crossed that no predators disturb them – an exciting experience!
