Crane counters wanted!

Crane counts are an important tool to collect data about the total numbers of cranes which use staging and stopover sites during spring and autumn migration. At fixed dates every spring and autumn cranes are counted simultaneously at all relevant roost sites in Germany, mainly by volunteer counters. These counts give information about the development of the population of staging cranes in Germany as well as changes in migration phenology.
